Vote Early

Plan to vote early. In many states voters can cast their ballots before Election Day at designated locations without having to provide a reason or excuse. Casting your ballot before Election Day makes voting more convenient, especially for the elderly and voters with busy schedules.

Benefits of voting early

• Avoid long lines on election day. If you plan well, you may not have to take time out of work to vote.
• Ensure that your vote is casted and counted. Anything could hinder you on Nov. 4, so it makes sense to go and vote when it is convenient a week or two or more beforehand.
• Reduce the strain on election workers, who have to accommodate a multitude of people on election day.
• And if you can vote early, you can help others get to voting place, call others to vote.
